These three cars stored in Stewartstown, PA were spared the torch but the elements are taking their toll. I don't know the status or owners, but some day I hope soon they will be restored.		They are CR N-8 23298 (end damage, one truck knocked off the pin), CR N-5B 20043 (general deterioration and some vandalism) and L&HR 17, a wooden car (this is one of the cars rebuilt with plywood sides, just plain rotting away).

Locations of special interest to caboose fans:

The Red Caboose Motel, Strasburg, PA has 34 cars for use as a motel, most are Conrail types although most were aquired years before Conrail was formed. I personally have not stayed there, but I have heard good reviews. It is close to the Strasburg Railroad and The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Walt Gosciminski's Whistle Stop at 119 Pine Street, Catawissa, PA 17820. He has N-3A 19662, N-4 18722, N-4A 18852, N-5Gs 18627, 18647, 18655, N-5K 18446, NE-6(NH NE-5) 19843 , NE-6 19805, N-8 23378, N-9E 18381, N-20 22139 and N-21 21215 restored or in the process of restoration.
